Powerful Outcomes for Powerful Girls

Our outcomes demonstrate that with the right opportunities to grow and learn, girls’ realities are transformed. Girls Inc. of Lakeland’s girls outperform their peers in reading, math, and science in nearly all the school year’s grading quarters.

  • Girls Inc. participants had a higher median STAR Early Literacy and STAR Math percentile ranks than like peers in other programs.
  • Girls Inc. participants’ school attendance rates were higher on average than their like peers in other programs.
  • Girls Inc. participants had fewer in-school suspensions on average than their like peers in other programs.

*DIME Systems (Data Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Systems) is a web-based data collection system used by the United Way of Central Florida to gather student data from funded programs serving children in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
